Crew Wins Big at Nationals
On Friday, May 27 Gonzaga Crew competed in the Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Championship Regatta. The Eagles brought five qualifying boats to the competition: 1V 8, 2V 8, JV8, Freshman 8, Light 4, and the Junior 4.
"In the end, the Eagle Crews of 2022 brought home five medals from the National Championship, beating our program’s previous best of three by a wide margin," said Head Coach Andy Bacas. "If the measure of a team’s achievement is the margin of how much they have improved from where they began the year in September, then 2022 was one of, if not the, greatest year in Gonzaga Rowing history."
