National Honor Society Welcomes New Members

On Thursday, April 21, Gonzaga's chapter of the National Honor Society held a ceremony to induct 114 new members. All of the inductees have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher and have also exhibited excellence in scholarship, leadership, character, and service during their tenure at Gonzaga.

The ceremony featured remarks by the five seniors who have served as NHS officers this school year: Tyler Kaczmarek '22, Peter Mildrew '22, John Ferrara '22, Rodrigo Borjas '22, and Charlie Meyer '22.

In addition, a keynote speech was given by John Pignone, S.J. '97. After graduating from Gonzaga, Pignone decided to postpone college and enlist in the Marines; he ended up deploying three times in the wake of September 11, 2001. He then went on to enter the Society of Jesus in 2015.

After the keynote speech, Tyler Kaczmarek '22 inaugurated next year's officers and John Corso '23 inducted the new members. To see a full list of the inductees, please click here
