Lacrosse Beats McDonogh & Landon, Rises in National Rankings

The Varsity Eagles improved to 3-0 on the year after defeating McDonough 11-7 on Friday, March 11th and Landon 12-5 on Tuesday, March 15th.   

McDonogh came into the game ranked second in the country via Inside Lacrosse. Gonzaga started off hot with a 5-0 run. Brendan Lane ‘22 dominated the face off box, James Matan ‘22 scored 5 goals, and Declan Monohan ‘23 was stout in goal. 

The following Tuesday, Gonzaga faced off against Landon. Gonzaga led 6-3 at half. The Eagles dominated the second half and held Landon to just two goals. Johnny Gardiner ‘24 led the team with six goals scored. It was a great team performance from the Eagles.
