Soccer Gets Two Shut-Out Wins, Will Play Landon

Congratulations to the varsity soccer Eagles on two strong victories this week. On Monday September, 13 the team travelled to take on DC rival the Washington International School and notched a 3-0 win. Juniors Colin Prendergast, Axel Chicas, and Matt Meier all scored in a big win with DC State tournament implications. 

The next night, the Eagles defeated Bishop Ireton in a dominant performance in their first WCAC match-up of the season under the lights on Buchanan Field, 7-0. Senior defender Brenden Pauline started the scoring early and added another later on in the match. Senior forward Simon Armstrong added a pair of his own, while David Caballero, Colin Prendergast, and Stefan Gately scored a goal apiece. Ben Fisher and Leo Marques da Costa both had two assists.

Next up for the team is another night game on Buchanan Field: Friday September, 17 versus Landon at 7 PM.
