Coach Steve Turner Helps Lead Team USA to Gold Medal
During the month of August, head basketball coach Steve Turner served as an assistant coach for the 2021 USA U16 National Team that competed in the 2021 FIBA Americas U16 Championship. The tournament was played from August 23 to August 29 in Xalapa, Mexico.
The team rolled to a Gold Medal going 6-0 beating Canada in the semifinal game 99-81 and Argentina 90-75 in the championship. "I am truly blessed to have been a part of this experience," says Coach Turner who has worked with Team USA in various roles over the past few years.
