Welcome to our 2021-2022 Alumni Service Corps!

Gonzaga is excited to welcome back four members of the Class of 2017 as our Alumni Service Corps this year! These young men will serve in a number of roles this school year, including as substitute teachers, club moderators, and coaches. If you see these faces around Eye Street, make sure to say hello!

Ben Grimmelbein ‘17
College: University of Virginia
Why he’s looking forward to coming back to Gonzaga: “As an alumnus, I know how special Gonzaga is and consciously strives to be. I want to ensure that students, many of whom lost a year and a half of the normal Gonzaga I know and love, have the wonderful experiences I did as a student. I’m also especially excited to rekindle my relationships with teachers and staff that I knew when I was a student.”
Fun fact: “This summer I hiked to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park.”

TJ Gletner ‘17
College: Georgetown University
Why he’s looking forward to coming back to Gonzaga: “Gonzaga has always held such a special place in my heart ever since my shadow day in 2012. I always looked up to the ASC guys, and I am wholeheartedly looking forward to being that same type of role model to the students.”
Fun fact: “My younger brother is a member of the Class of 2023.”

Jack Kiyonaga ‘17
College: University of Pennsylvania
Why he’s looking forward to coming back to Gonzaga: “For the same reason I loved attending Gonzaga: the robust faith and fun of it all, and the feeling that everyday is grace”.
Fun fact: “I was a four-year athlete on the varsity lightweight crew team at Penn, where we took second at this year's National Championship.”

AJ Powers ‘17

Why he’s looking forward to coming back to Gonzaga: “I enjoyed my time at Gonzaga so much; I want to be able to give the students some of the same experiences I had. I’m also looking forward to giving back to the Gonzaga community.”
