Gonzaga Reimagines the International Food Fair as the Eye Streetery
On Tuesday, April 20 and Wednesday, April 21, Gonzaga hosted the Eye Streetery--this year's version of the International Food Fair, an annual event that celebrates the cultural diversity of our community with the chance to eat dishes from around the world.
Because of Covid, the event, which is organized by the Gonzaga Mothers Club and the Modern Languages Department, looked a bit different this year--but was just as much fun. Several food stations were set up around campus, treating the boys and the faculty and staff to individually-wrapped foods for lunch. Both days had beautiful spring-like weather, and the boys enjoyed the chance to spend time together while eating out on Buchanan Field. Click the play button to watch a fun video:
"This would not have been possible without the tremendous effort put forth by the Mothers Club," said Mr. Ariel Laguilles, Chair of the Modern Languages Department. "It was fun working with them in thinking of a way to bring back the Food Fair in some way, given our current situation, and I think the Eye StrEATery was a great alternative."
