Last weekend, Gonzaga's Model UN team won the Outstanding Delegation award as well as several individual awards at the University of North Carolina's Invitational Model UN.

  • Timothy Shaheen ‘21 (Gavel)
  • Charlie Meyer ‘22 (Gavel)
  • Tyler Kaczmarek ‘22 (Gavel)
  • Joe Campione ‘24 (Gavel)
  • Pedro Da Silveira ‘21 (Outstanding Delegate)
  • James Miller '22 (Honorable Mention)
  • JP Felmlee '22 (Honorable Mention)
  • Ian Christensen ‘22 (Best Position Paper)
"Like many organizations on campus, the Model UN has been doing its best to adapt to the new normal of these unprecedented times," said Carl Cardozo, Model UN Advisor. "It hasn't been easy--asking students to spend a weekend on Zoom is a tall order...but these remarkable young men continue to surprise at every turn, and I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say it's a great honor to play a part, however small, in their moral and intellectual development."

Congratulations to the entire team and best of luck in your next debate in March at GW University!
