Meet the Athletic Staff: Athletic Director Joe Reyda '85

This week we finish our Athletic Department interview series with Athletic Director Joe Reyda '85! Coach Reyda played football and golf as a student, and coached both sports here on Eye Street -- 18 years of football, three as Head Coach, and 9 years of golf. In his 32nd year as a full time employee, he is currently serving in his 20th year as AD. Coach Reyda was inducted into the Gonzaga's Joe Kozik Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016.

Under his leadership as AD, Gonzaga has won a total of 165 championships. In the interview, Coach Reyda talks about his appreciation for all of our head coaches and his ability to relate to them, shares the importance of organization and flexibility that all Athletic Directors must have, reflects on long hours and the recent addition of adding lights to Buchanan Field, shares a few of his favorite moments, and more.

Enjoy this fun interview to get a great behind the scenes look at our "fearless leader" as we wrap up our series, and look forward to competition this year!
