Jesuit Community Member Fr. Leo O’Donovan, SJ Leads Presidential Inauguration Invocation

Father Leo O’Donovan, SJ, a member of the Gonzaga Jesuit Community, led the invocation prayer at the Inauguration of President Joe Biden on Wednesday, January 20th.

President Biden and Father O’Donovan have been friends for many years. When he was president of Georgetown University, Father O'Donovan encouraged President Biden to give a lecture about the importance of faith in his political life. Many years later, he presided over the funeral Mass of Beau Biden, following his death from brain cancer in 2015.
