Basketball Wins DCSAA Championship Over Wilson
Congratulations to Varsity Basketball on winning the 2020 DCSAA AA Championship on March 1 at George Washington University! After trailing Wilson High School by 9 points with under three minutes before the half, the Eagles went on an 8-0 run to cut the lead to just one point, 25-24 at the break.
The second half--the third quarter in particular--belonged to Coach Turner's team as Gonzaga held the Tigers to just four points to take a commanding 37-29 lead into the fourth quarter. The final score was 55-49. Click here to see complete highlights via Capitol Hoops.
