Indoor Track Starts February Strong
Indoor Track has had a strong February so far. The month began with a third place team finish at the Private Schools Invitational at Georgetown Prep on February 1. In that competition Gavin McElhennon '20 placed first in the 1600 meter run and Cullen Capuano '20 placed first in the 3200 meter run. Click here to see the complete results.
The next weekend, Gonzaga won the Hoxton Invitational at Episcopal High School, where Cullen Capuano '20, Patrick Donnelly '21, and Markeith Hogan '23 all earned first place finishes. You can see the complete results here.
Then on February 11, the team finished fourth at the DCSAA Championships at PG Sportsplex. Full results here. Hogan was the lone gold medalist for the Eagles on the day; here is a interview after he won the High Jump competition:
