If You Can Play, You Can Play

Over the past few years, Stephen Cullina ’21 says he’s developed an interest in video. “I like the way the light plays with the camera,” he says. “You can capture details in a video that you wouldn’t be able to notice just walking around.”

Earlier this year, Stephen decided to use his interest in video for a good cause by creating a video for a national organization called You Can Play. The mission of You Can Play is to ensure equality, respect, and safety for all athletes, without regard to sexual orientation. They seek to challenge the culture of locker rooms and spectator areas by focusing only on an athlete’s skill, work ethic, and competitive spirit. The organization’s mission aligns well with All In, Gonzaga’s theme this year of inclusivity.
