Basketball Opens the 2019-2020 Season
The Varsity Basketball Eagles opened the season on November 29 with a big win over McNamara, and then beat Loyola Blakefield the next day. Here are some highlights from the season-opening win:
The Eagles fell at Good Counsel on December 3 in a close game, 59-56. The team is back in action this weekend and looks to improve on its 2-1 record with two road games. On Friday, December 6 Gonzaga takes on WCAC foe Bishop Ireton in Alexandria, VA at 7:30 PM. And on Saturday, December 7 the team will face Sunrise Christian (MO) at DeMatha High School in Hyatsville, MD at 7:00 PM.
Don't forget to make plans to be in the Carmody Center for the 31st Annual Gonzaga DC Classic next weekend! The team will play in the second game on Friday, December 13 versus Gonzaga Prep (WA) at 5:15 PM.
