Percussionist Luis Conte Visits Gonzaga
Renowned Cuban percussionist Luis Conte made a visit to Eye Street this week. In addition to talking with students about his journey from Cuba to America, he offered performances and discussions in the Sheehy Theater and then performed alongside the Symphonic Winds during their concert on the evening of November 21.
During his musical career, Conte has played and toured with several nationally-known musicians including Madonna, James Taylor, and Phil Collins. Here’s a great video of him performing with Gonzaga students earlier this week.
