Students Visit Rare Book and Special Collections Division at the Library of Congress

Several students who are enrolled in an Independent Tutorial in Classics got the chance to visit the Library of Congress this week.

The students—Will Sapp '20, Maxim Waters '20, and Paul Wright '20—visited the Rare Book and Special Collections Division of the library, where they received a curated presentation of manuscripts and early printed materials. “The guys recognized some of the texts from translations they did last year in AP Latin and from work we have done this year,” says Classics Teacher Mr. Brandon Cowan; Cowan’s wife, Ms. Marianna Stell, works in the Division and gave the students the presentation.

We hope you enjoy these great photos from the trip.
