News of Alumni: Llewellyn Dortch '19

Llewellyn Dortch '19 returned to Browne Academy in Alexandria, Virginia, to deliver this year’s graduation address. Llewellyn graduated from Browne Academy, which goes from kindergarten through eighth grade, in 2015.

“My journey through Gonzaga from freshman year to honors graduate challenged me to try new experiences, conquer my fears, and to develop myself into a true Man for Others,” Llewellyn said. “I entered Gonzaga with a passion for sports. However, instead of sports, the area I discovered that captured my interest is community service. My volunteer experience serving lunch and preparing meals at the McKenna Center, a center for homeless men on Gonzaga’s campus, introduced me to the opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life.”
