News of Alumni: John Gans, Jr. ‘96

On May 14, Gonzaga alumnus John Gans, Jr. is releasing a book he wrote called White House Warriors: How the National Security Council Transformed the American Way of War.

John draws on nearly 100 interviews and more than 10,000 original documents, offering an inside look into the people and power of the National Security Council (NSC) and how these staffers have shaped critical decisions in war from the Truman administration to the Trump administration.
“It's a fun book about people and power and strategy and politics that also breaks some real news,” says John.
