Baseball Keeps it Rolling with Two More Wins

The varsity baseball Eagles improved to 11-2 on the year with wins over McNamara and Marshall. On Saturday, April 6 the team struck first against the Mustangs behind an RBI double from Garret Newsome '20 to take a 1-0 lead in the third inning. The team trailed 3-1, however, heading into the top of the seventh. A furious comeback ensued as Gonzaga put up six runs to take a 7-3 lead. McNamara would get two back in the final frame, but pitcher Joe Manley '19 closed the door to earn the save and the victory for the Eagles. Here are some great photos from the comeback win:

On Monday, April 8 the team defeated Marshall 7-1. Pitcher Jack Quimby ‘19 notched another win for the Eagles while Jack Ewald ‘19, Will Carr ‘21, and Luke Jackman ‘21 led the way on offense with two hits each.
