V1 Hockey to Face DeMatha in WCAC Semifinal on February 13

The V1 hockey Eagles will travel to The Gardens Ice House in Laurel, MD on Wednesday, February 13 to face DeMatha in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference's Capital Conference semifinal playoff round one.  Puck drop is set for 4 PM.  The winner of that game will play the winner of the St. John's vs. Bishop O'Connell matchup in the Capital Conference championship game back in Laurel on Friday, February 15 at 5:50 PM.

Due to snow, the team's two scheduled games last week were not played.  So heading into Wednesday's game vs Calvert Hall, the Eagles hadn't faced an opponent since their dominant Senior Night win over Bullis on January 25.  The team did not show any signs of rust, however, as they skated to a solid 7-2 win over the visiting Cardinals from Baltimore.

The team fell to MAPHL foe Spalding, 2-1 on Monday, February 11.

Make plans to support the Eagles this week in the WCAC playoffs, and the week after in the MAPHL playoffs.  Click here for the V1's schedule.  Note: the V2 is off this week and their MAPHL playoff schedule has yet to be announced.
