Students Meet Martin Luther King III on MLK Day

A group of Gonzaga seniors who were doing service at SOME (So Others Might Eat) on Martin Luther King Jr. Day this week had the extraordinary opportunity to meet the civil rights activist’s son, Martin Luther King III, and his wife and daughter.

King III spent the weekend attending events and doing service around Washington. In addition to his visit to SOME, he and his wife and daughter attended a tribute to his father at the National Cathedral on Sunday, and visited the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial on the National Mall.
