News of Alumni: Mark Tilch ’03
Class of 2003 alumnus and West Point graduate Mark Tilch spends his free time giving back to his community by serving as a Board Member for a non-profit foundation in New England called Skate for the 22
Skate for the 22 was started to respond to the startling statistic that every day in America an average of 22 Veterans commit suicide. The foundation believes that a healthy mental, physical, and emotional state is the best way to combat this epidemic and that the sport of ice hockey can provide ways to those ends. Skate for the 22 creates a supportive community for Veterans by removing all barriers to the sport of ice hockey—providing equipment, ice time, learn to skate classes, and skills development coaching to get Veterans back into a team environment.
In addition to serving as a Board Member for Skate for the 22, Mark also speaks at Suicide Prevention Seminars.
