Hockey Defeats St. Albans, Ready for 26th Purple Puck
The V1 hockey Eagles defeated St. Albans 8-2 on Friday, December 14 at Fort Dupont Ice Arena in Northeast DC. The team improves to 5-2-1 on the year under first-year head coach Samuel Gerdano '10 and sets its sights on the Purple Puck, where the Eagles will face great competition from the area and around the country.
The 26th Annual Purple Puck, also known as the National Capital Hockey Tournment, begins on Wednesday, December 26 with the V2 Eagles competing in "Varsity Division" play. "Prep Division" play begins on Friday, December 28. The V1 Eagles have two games on their first day of competition: Game 1 vs Loyola Academy (IL) at 10:30 AM and Game 2 vs St. John's (DC) at 6 PM.
