Four Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation recently announced that four Gonzaga students were named National Merit semifinalists in the 2019 competition. Congratulations to seniors Collin Dent, Patricio Fraga-Errecart, Edward O'Keefe, and Daniel Podratsky on this wonderful academic honor.

In addition, 17 students were named Commended Scholars in the program. Congratulations to those students, who are listed below:

According to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, about 1.6 million students from about 22,000 high schools entered the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2017 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Those who are named Semifinalists represent less than one percent of high school seniors in the U.S.
