Golf Wins Fourth Straight WCAC Championship!

The Eagle golfers captured the WCAC Championship on May 7 at Northwest Golf Course in Silver Spring, marking the program's eighth title in nine years and continuing an undefeated season in 2018.

By the end of the day, the team had wrapped up the championship on team points, but the individual champion had yet to be determined as three Eagles shot a 73.  Kevin Johnson '19, Pieter DeGroot '19, and Jimmy Taylor '19 played a playoff with Taylor taking the victory by shooting pars on the first two playoff holes.

Head Coach Mike Hanagan told The Washington Post that he attributed the team's success to its great sense of camaraderie. During spring break the Eagles went to Pinehurst in North Carolina, and Hanagan said the team’s positive attitude Monday was reminiscent of that trip.  Click here to read article.

The team's final match is the Metro Championship on Tuesday, May 15.
