Baseball Wins 3, Honors Seniors

The varsity baseball Eagles got three big wins this week in WCAC play.  The week started with a 7-5 comeback win over McNamara on Monday, April 23.  On Wednesday, April 25 the got a 5-3 win over Ireton.  And on Thursday, April 26, on Senior Night for the program, Gonzaga came back in dramatic fashion to defeat O'Connnell 4-2.
It was a perfect night at Nats Academy, as both the senior players and their parents were thanked and honored. Here are some pictures of the fun items that were created for each senior:
"All the seniors started the game and played well," says Head Coach Andy Bradley '00. "I'm really proud of all eight of them! We are looking forward to our final regular season games. We are locked in and hoping to secure homefield advantage going into postseason play."  With three games left, Gonzaga is currently in 4th place in the WCAC.

Next up, the Eagles face Good Counsel on the road on Saturday, April 28 at 11 am.  On Monday, April 30, the team hosts St. John's at 4 pm at the Nats Academy.  And on Wednesday, May 2 the team is back on the road at St. Mary's Ryken to close out the regular season at 4:30 pm.
