Hockey Set To Defend MAPHL Titles Friday

The V1 Hockey Eagles spread the offense around as five different players scored in their 6-1 victory over Spalding in the top flight MAPHL AA Semifinals at Rockville Ice Arena on Wednesday, February 21.  The Eagles will face DeMatha in the MAPHL final for the first time since 2010 and will try to repeat as AA Division champions on Friday night at 7pm at The Garden’s Ice House in Laurel.

Tommy Krisztinicz ‘19 had two goals and Luca Docking ’20 and Cole Vallese ‘20 each notched two assists in the game.  Jack Massey ‘19, Sean Kilcullen ‘21, Matthew Massaro ‘18, and Jack Norton ‘21 also scored.

In the MAPHL A Division semifinal, Gonzaga’s V2 Eagles overwhelmed Landon’s V2, 13-2. The Eagles will attempt to repeat as A Division champions, and win their third title in a row, when they face off against St. Stephen's & St. Agnes in the final on Friday at 5pm in Laurel.
