Congratulations to the Eagles for bringing home another championship! On Saturday, February 3, Gonzaga’s Swim and Dive team won its eighth straight Washington Metropolitan Prep School Swim Dive League (WMPSSDL) championship at the Fairland Aquatic Center in Laurel.

The team earned 466 points, finishing well ahead of the rest of the field—Georgetown Prep came in second with 377 points and St. Albans finished third with 256.5 points.

In a recap of the meet, The Washington Post wrote: “Winning is contagious. That’s how Coach Patrick Maloney explains Gonzaga’s dominance in swimming and diving the past decade. The more the Eagles win, the more talent they attract.” Click here to read the full article.
