Wrestling Goes 5-1 On The Week

Gonzaga Wrestling enjoyed a great week starting with an undefeated performance on Friday, January 19 in a quad-meet competition at Landon High School. The team beat Landon 41-31, Gilman 42-32, and St. Alban’s 38-32.

On Tuesday, January 23, the Eagles beat Bishop Ireton in head-to-head WCAC action by the score of 40-37.
 

And on Thursday, January 25, Coach Yates’ team went 1-1 in their WCAC tri-meet at Paul VI. The Eagles lost to PVI 21-51, but defeated McNamara 51-27.

Best of luck to the Eagles on Saturday, January 27 as they will face St. Mary’s Ryken at Bullis High School as well as compete in a tri-meet vs St. John’s and DeMatha at St. John’s.
