Turner Echols ’14 Wins HBCU National Football Championship

Turner Echols ’14, a senior at North Carolina A&T State University, helped the Aggies earn the first perfect season in MEAC history, finishing 12-0. This is the second HBCU national championship in three years for the team. During the first 11 games of the season, Echols recorded 22 tackles, 4.5 for loss, and 2 sacks. And in the championship game, he got to Grambling State’s QB for a sack in the first quarter. Click here to watch his sack and here to read the full article on the win. While at Gonzaga, Echols was a captain of the football team and earned the Moss Collins MVP award in 2013.
