Crew Competes On International Stage

Gonzaga's Crew team recently traveled to England to compete in the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta. Founded in 1839 and held every year on the Thames River, the event draws hundreds of boats from all over the country.

Gonzaga competed in the Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup, and had an excellent showing on an international stage. On Wednesday, June 28, the team won its first race over Great Marlow School by three lengths. The next day, the Eagles came from behind to defeat Winchester College Boat Club. Ultimately the season came to an end with a hard-fought race against Shiplake College on the third day of competition.

Congratulations to the Eagles on an excellent season!
