NHS Canned Food Drive

Eye Street and Parking Garage
The National Honor Society Annual Food Drive will begin Monday Nov 2nd and continue thru Tuesday Nov 10th.  The drive will be a competition between grade levels!  More information to come soon on how this fits with Student Government Association's plans for the rest of the year.

The following is the point system for food items to incentivise the items which the McKenna Center really needs:

3 points: soup (Progresso/Campbell's Chunky), beans (baked beans and dry beans)

2 points: veggies (corn, spinach, collard greens, mixed veggies), raisins (1 lb boxes), applesauce and jelly (plastic bottles!)

 1 point: everything else

 ½ point: ramen noodles

NHS volunteers will collect cans during the morning drop off period at the Health Screening location on Eye street and in the garage. Cans will be counted and assigned points when they are dropped off and will be stored in the locker room in the garage.

There will be two opportunities after school during the co-curricular period for those students and families who are not regularly coming to campus to drop off cans - Friday Nov 6th and Monday Nov 9th from 3:30 to 4:15.
