Graduation practice will begin at 9:00am on Friday, June 2nd. Seniors should assemble in the Carmody Center by 8:50am. Normal school dress code is in effect.
Held each year the day before graduation the Baccalaureate Reception follows the Baccalaureate Mass, and brings seniors and their families together for their final time as students at Gonzaga. As tickets are not required for the Mass, it’s a great opportunity to invite family and friends who will not be able to attend the formal graduation ceremony on Sunday.
The GMC's reception is for all members of the graduating class, their families and guests, and the Gonzaga faculty and staff, and is held in the Carmody Center immediately following Mass. In addition to refreshments and fun, there is a professional photographer available to take photos.
The Baccalaureate Mass will start at 4:30pm in St. Aloysius Church on Saturday, June 3rd. Dress for the Mass is jacket and tie. A reception will follow in the Carmody Center. Tickets are not needed. The doors of St. Aloysius Church will open at 4:00pm.
On Sunday, June 4th, the Commencement Ceremony of the Class of 2023 will begin promptly at 10:30am.
Seniors should be in the Carmody Center by 9:30am in their formal graduation attire.
The doors of St. Al's and the Sheehy Theater will open at 9:15am.
Only ticket holders will be admitted.
As usual, ushers will be stationed at the main doors of St. Aloysius (i.e., the North Capitol Street doors) and in the theater lobby to help guide people to their seats.
Each spring, the GMC hosts a New Mothers Luncheon in honor of the moms and female guardians of all newly admitted students. It’s a wonderful opportunity for mothers of incoming students to get acquainted; meet the faculty, staff, and members of the Jesuit Community; and learn about Eye Street (including the Mothers Club!).
Gonzaga is co-hosting an event, along with Connelly School of the Holy Child, to discuss the high school application and admissions process with current seventh graders and their parents. Here's a description:
As your son finishes 7th grade, your and his attention increasingly will turn toward high school - options, admission processes, questions, and concerns. We want to provide you with a helpful resource as well as one that is pressure-free.
Come join two admissions professionals with over 40 years of admissions experience combined. Andrew Battaile (Gonzaga College High School) and Megan Cross (Connelly School of the Holy Child) will be available to assist you in the approach to the high school admissions process.
Gonzaga’s 1st Varsity 8 will compete in the Semifinals at 10:53 am today (Friday, June 9) in Sarasota, Florida at US Rowing Youth National Championship. The competition includes all of the top rowing clubs in the nation, not just high schools. Our 2nd Varsity 8 also did great to place 19th in the preliminary race, just 3 spots away from today's Semifinals. They will compete tomorrow in their final race.
