  • NHS Backpack Drive for McKenna Center Ends

    The National Honor Society is running a backpack drive at the beginning of the school year.  During the drive, we'll be collecting backpacks and other portable bags (not tote bags) from students to be donated to the McKenna Center.

    Gonzaga clubs and teams hold bake sales in order to raise money for their groups. Bake sale are usually up and running by 7:30 am and continue until the end of the lunch periods.  If you are contributing to a bake sale you do not need to send in homemade items, you can purchase your baked goods at any store.

    Back-to-school night in the fall offers new and returning parents alike the opportunity to meet their sons' teachers and to experience first hand the environment and objectives of the classroom. 

    Back to School Night will run from 6:45pm to 9:00pm of September 8th.  More information will follow from Mr. John Kilroy, Assistant Headmaster for Academic Affairs, as the event approaches.

  • GMC Ignatian Reflection & Prayer Group

    Virtual
    The Ignatian Reflection and Prayer Group consists of Gonzaga moms and female guardians who gather monthly via Zoom to explore the Ignatian spirituality at the heart of their sons’ education, and reflect on how to put it into practice in their own lives.

    They seek to deepen their faith by reading and discussing relevant essays and books and participating in guided reflections combined with a variety of Ignatian forms of prayer.

    All are welcome to join our casual and welcoming group!

    Walk 4 McKenna

    Buchanan Field
    The McKenna Center’s Annual Walk 4 McKenna begins on Buchanan Field -- or in your neighborhood, if you'd like to participate remotely -- and will be held on Saturday, September 10th.  Since 2017, the McKenna Center has hosted a 5K walk to raise funds and awareness for the work of the Center.  Details and Signup here.

    Kick off at 8:00 AM and the walk begins at 8:30 AM!

  • Alumni Association Meeting

    Alumni Association meetings give Gonzaga alumni the chance to hear up-to-the-minute information about what's going on at Gonzaga, from club activities to sporting events, and all Alumni Association events. We begin with fellowship and dinner at 6:00 pm and at 6:30 pm the meeting is called to order. Meetings typically last an hour and a half depending upon attendance and agenda items to be discussed. The meetings are open to all alumni of Gonzaga.

    The Gonzaga Mothers Club is open to all mothers and guardians of Gonzaga students, and those friends and benefactors of the school who wish to participate in or contribute to the Mothers Club activities.  

    The GMC meets on the second Wednesday of the month in the Lower Commons. All are welcome! The social begins at 6:30 pm, and the meeting begins at 7:00 pm.

    Grandparents Mass & Breakfast

  • Jesuit Soccer Classic - Varsity Soccer vs Regis (CO)

    Rockhurst High School, 9301 State Line Rd. Kansas City, MO
    On Thursday, September 22, the Varsity Soccer team will travel to Kansas City, MO to compete in the 24th Jesuit Soccer Classic hosted by Rockhurst High School. The Classic started initially as a match between Rockhurst (Kansas City, MO) and Marquette and over the years has expanded to include Gonzaga and Regis Jesuit from Denver, CO. 
     
    The Classic gives all students-athletes, coaches, and families an opportunity to come together, attend school, play four matches, participate in Mass, and acquaint ourselves with other Jesuit school communities across the country. 
     
    Gonzaga will be playing Regis Jesuit on Friday and Marquette on Saturday.  (All times listed are Central Time)

  • Athletic Hall of Fame

    We are excited to announce that the 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 24.

    This year, we are thrilled to induct Curome Cox '99, Pat Mitchell '99, J.D. Schmidt '99, Brian "Bo" Murray '95, Chris Rosier '96, Dana Leary '03, and the four Swim and Dive teams that competed from the fall of 1999 to the spring of 2003.

    A reception will take place during the football game in the library overlooking Buchanan Field.  Gonzaga is taking on St. Joe's Prep from Pennsylvania and kick off is at 2pm. Following the reception and game, the induction ceremony will take place in Sheehy Theater.  Click here to register to attend this event -- when we will celebrate the many accomplishments of this class of inductees!

    The Onyx Alumni Association of Gonzaga College High School is a division of the Gonzaga Alumni Association which is dedicated to supporting and promoting diversity at Gonzaga College High School and within its community, seeks to broaden and strengthen the connections of Alumni.  Those connection serve to support current, prospective and future minorities who are committed to successfully matriculating and graduating from Gonzaga.
