The Gonzaga Mothers Club treats the Gonzaga faculty and staff to a "welcome back" luncheon in the Lower Commons at the beginning of each school year. GMC volunteers decorate the Commons, serve a delicious lunch, and provide raffles and door prizes to the faculty and staff.

The classes of 2024 and 2025 will report directly to the Sheehy Theater for their orientation assembly on Tuesday, August 23. The assembly will be followed by homeroom. Normal school dress code is in effect, per the Student-Parent Handbook.

Campus Ministry Office and Student Services Office
The National Honor Society is running a backpack drive at the beginning of the school year. The drive, we'll be collecting backpacks and other portable bags (not tote bags) from students to be donated to the McKenna Center.
All freshmen and new students and their parents/guardians are invited to a welcome picnic to kick off their time at Gonzaga. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet classmates and fellow parents. The event begins with a welcome in Sheehy Theater at 6:45pm, followed by dinner on Eye Street.
Attire is dressy casual. Since this is a special event just for new students and their parents, we kindly ask that your siblings remain at home.
No RSVP is needed
There is limited parking on campus in the parking garage. Street parking is available after 6:30pm. Please consider car pooling or taking Metro.

Senior Orientation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, from 8:30am to 11:00am. Seniors should report directly to the Sheehy Theater. Those seniors helping lead Freshman Orientation are asked to stay for the duration of the day.

Freshman Orientation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, from 9:00am to 2:45pm. Freshmen should report directly to St. Aloysius Church and find their Homeroom (1st Block) teacher to begin orientation. The initial assembly will be followed by various meetings around campus.
Dress Code: Students must wear a collared shirt; khaki or casual shorts are acceptable; closed-toed school shoes or sneakers. (Sneakers are recommended, as students will participate in field activities.)
Lunch: Lunch will be provided.

The academic year will start on Thursday, August 25. We will have a special schedule that day to celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit and to allow all students to meet each of their teachers.
This is a formal dress day (dress shirt, tie, and jacket required).
Gonzaga clubs and teams hold bake sales in order to raise money for their groups. Bake sale are usually up and running by 7:30 am and continue until the end of the lunch periods. If you are contributing to a bake sale you do not need to send in homemade items, you can purchase your baked goods at any store.
If you have any questions about the bake sale please contact your team/club moderator or coach.
Gonzaga Moms, attend the Gala kickoff planning meeting on Wednesday, August 31st in the Jesuit Dining Room in Dooley Hall and learn how to get involved!
We will begin with dinner at 6:30 pm followed by the meeting at 7:00 pm.
