The Gala committee needs volunteers all day to decorate, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Tasks will be assigned upon check-in but will include: silent auction table set-up, hanging greenery & wreathes throughout building, front gates, decorating the halls, chapel etc.
The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is a test that most Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Washington consider when reviewing students’ applications to their schools.
The Saturday administration of the HSPT is for 8th grade students who are not currently enrolled in an Archdiocese of Washington, Diocese of Arlington, or Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic school. Registration will open on October 2nd. Gonzaga is only hosting the HSPT. You must register directly with the Archdiocese of Washington to take the test. Things to know:
If you work the night of the Gala, please be prepared to work the entire evening. You will receive a complimentary Gala ticket which includes the ability to bid and dinner will be provided. Plan to arrive at 4:00 pm (there will be a mass at 4:30 in the Chapel) Please check-in at the Jesuit Dining Room when you arrive on campus.
The GMC Christmas Gala is one of the highlights of the year on Eye Street, bringing together the community for holiday fun and cheer, all in support of the young men of Gonzaga.

McKenna's Wagon is a mobile soup kitchen that departs daily from Martha's Table, near U Street, and serves the homeless. A Gonzaga group goes out every Wednesday evening as part of this program. Each week, we take 3 sophomores. Sign up forms are located in the Campus Ministry Office.
During 6th Period Mark Shriver will discuss working for Social Justice - working or starting a non profit. Students should sign up on Ms. Tobin's door if they plan to attend. Lunch will be provided.
The Ignatian Reflection and Prayer Group consists of Gonzaga moms and female guardians who gather monthly to explore the Ignatian spirituality at the heart of their sons’ education, and reflect on how to put it into practice in their own lives.
The Gonzaga Fathers Club's biggest fundraising event each year. The basketball tournament takes place every December and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Gonzaga’s community service programs.

Gonzaga clubs and teams hold bake sales in order to raise money for their groups. Bake sale are usually up and running by 7:30 am and continue until the end of 6th period lunch. If you are contributing to a bake sale you do not need to send in homemade items, you can purchase your baked goods at any store.

Please join the Gonzaga Fathers Club for the annual Father/Son Freshman Service Project at the Capital Area Food Bank at 4900 Puerto Rico Avenue, NE in Washington, D.C. from 9 am to Noon.
