    Volunteer and help the Decorations Committee prepare our Eye Street for a Spectacular Winter Wonderland.  No experience or tools are necessary.  We just ask that you bring your willingness to lend a hand and have some fun.  The workshops are a fabulous way to meet new Gonzaga Moms and make lasting friendships. 

    Click here to sign up for one or more of our designated dates on the workshop sign-up genius. You are not required to stay for the entire time, stay as long as you can.  Your sign up will give us an idea on how many enthusiastic volunteers to expect.  

    This session we will be focused on making bows and wreaths, and wrapping boxes.  If you are able to please bring boxes (small, medium or large).  All workshops will be held on the 3rd Floor of Dooley Hall (take the elevator by the Cafeteria or Campus Ministry).

    Sophomore Retreat begins

    Our Lady's Chapel
    Sophomores are invited by homeroom to make an overnight retreat at Bishop Claggett Retreat Center.  Those making the retreat will have an opportunity to deepen their friendships with classmates and to reflect on how they can make the most of their sophomore year.  The retreat runs from 6 PM the first evening, after meeting in the school chapel, until 2:45 the next day.

    Carmody Open

    Andrews Air Force Base Golf Course
    Please join us for the 33rd Annual Kevin Carmody Scholarship Golf Tournament. In addition to building a strong sense of community among alumni and supporters, the Carmody Open raises scholarship funds for Gonzaga students who do not have a father in their lives.

    Over the years, more than 60 fatherless boys have benefitted from the scholarship fund, which was established in 1982 in honor of Kevin W. Carmody ’62. This year’s tournament will be held at the Golf Courses at Andrews Airforce Base and is followed by an awards dinner.

    The Gonzaga Alumni and Advancement Office, along with the Onyx Alumni, invite you to join them on Eye Street for the dedication of the Gabe Smith entrance to Buchanan Field.  

    During halftime of the Gonzaga-Archbishop Carroll football game, Gonzaga faculty, students, alumni and friends will honor John Gabriel Smith '54, the first African-American graduate of Gonzaga College High School - an enduring symbol to our young men of all races and ethnicities, by dedicating an entrance to the field in his name.

    Freshman girls from DC area private schools are invited to attend Gonzaga's Freshman Homecoming Dance.  Gonzaga students are also encouraged to invite dates.  All girls should bring a student ID with them.  

    Doors to the Carmody Center will open for the dance at 7:30pm.  Students should be at Gonzaga by 8:00pm, at the latest, to be admitted.  All students will be required to stay until the end of the dance at 10:30pm when pick up will take place from Eye Street and the Eye Street Circle.
