Water Polo Performs Day of Service
On Saturday, September 21, Gonzaga’s Water Polo team held a day of service. Head Coach Torin Ortmayer and members of the team and their families gathered at the Air Force Memorial to greet and serve lunch to a group of 100 women veterans arriving from Philadelphia, PA on an Honor Flight sponsored visit. The Honor Flight Network pays for Veterans to visit Memorials in Washington, as a way to acknowledge and thank them for their service to our country.
“Our guys served lunch and learned about these incredible service members’ experiences,” said Coach Ortmayer. “We were honored to meet so many inspirational American heroes!”
