Track Eagles Compete in Park View Classic and Dogwood Classic Invitationals

Last weekend, May 3 and 4, the Gonzaga Track and Field team competed in two invitational events: The Park View Twilight Classic and the Dogwood Classic. 

On Friday, May 3, part of the team traveled to Sterling, Virginia to compete in the 3rd Annual Park View Twilight Classic at Park View High School while another part of the team traveled to Charlottesville, Virginia to compete in the first night of the Dogwood Classic. The athletes at the Dogwood also competed on Saturday, May 4. 

At Park View, Damon Smith '20 finished third in the 400 Meter Dash (51.82), while Justin Fronda '20 finished third in the long jump (21-7.5). Click here to see full results.

Meanwhile, at the Dogwood, Cullen Capuano '20 finished second in the 2000 Meter Steeplechase (6:30.70). Click here to see full results. 

This weekend, the team will travel to Richmond, Virginia on Friday, May 10, for the Southern Track Classic at Sport Backer Stadium as well as to Glen Allen, Virginia on Saturday, May 11, for the Glen Allen Invitational. Click here to see the team's full schedule.
