Crew Retains Foley Cup over St. Albans, Finishes Strong in WMIRA Championships

On Saturday, May 4, the Gonzaga Crew team prevailed over St. Albans to retain the Foley Cup on the Potomac River. The team also won the 3V and Varsity Fours events that day.

The next day, Sunday, May 5, the team went on to compete in the WMIRA Championships on the Occoquan River where they ultimately finished in third place (4:18.3). Gonzaga won the points trophy for the eights with victories in the Freshman, Novice (gold and bronze), and Third Varsity Eights (gold and silver) and medals in the Second Varsity (silver) and First Varsity (bronze) Eights. This weekend, on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12, the team will compete in the Mid Atlantic Championship in Princeton, NJ. To view the full schedule, please click here.
