News of Alumni: Chris Lykes '17 Named to All-ACC Academic Team

Congratulations to Chris Lykes '17 who was one of 25 players named to the All-ACC Academic team this season. This marks Lykes' second straight All-ACC Academic Team honor. A sports administration major, he has a 3.269 career GPA.
 
Lykes averaged 16.2 points per game and ranked ninth in the ACC in scoring. He also averaged 15.9 points per game in conference games, which is 11th among all ACC players. He racked up 10 20-point games this season and upped his scoring average by 6.6 points per game from his freshman season, marking the third-largest increase among active ACC players. He has scored in double digits in 24 of 29 outings, including 18 games with 16 or more points, according to HurricaneSports.com.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
